PROJECTS

 

ARC Projects are focused on embedding Community Resilience and Adaptation and span environmental, development, and strategic planning concerns as well as co-ordination across civil society, private sector, and government, all focused within the geographical range of Rheenendal.

Projects are developed from FMU / RFA / PHNC / RRA Committees and Community Members, and selected for implementation based on ability to systematically increase resilience and reduce vulnerability in the Rheenendal Region, while enhancing ecological and community goods and services.

RHEENENDAL FOOD WORKING GROUP

Sourcing and delivering essential food parcels to the most vulnerable, elderly, and at risk citizens in Keurhoek who are hungry and need help urgently, during the Covid-19 National Lockdown.

RURAL ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT NODE

Building on the 'Keurhoek First' concept put forward in opposition for plans for  unsustainable suburban sprawl in Rheenendal, the LED Node concept is investigating context-appropriate sustainable development for Rheenendal.
